This is an interesting one as on this model we get rounded shapes which he pretty much hadn't seen on Space Marines hardware since the early 1990s. I mean the thing looks like a muscle car already, so I thought it would be fitting to paint is in a way that it may be featured in a car magazine as well. That also was the reason why I kept battle damage to a minimum.
Come to think of it, maybe I should have presented these pictures in a kind of Top Gear homage way. Oh well. Anyway, back on topic. Yeah, it was fun painting this fella.
I didn't build the model, so I don't know how easy or hard that was. I do get questions about how hard it was to build, so I assume the kit may have a reputation.
What I did do was that I added quite a substantial pin to the flying base to keep the model from wobbling around and to give the flying stand a bit more resilience. The model does weigh quite a bit. Of course the base isn't glued to the model.
So yeah, I hope you like the model. I certainly do. :)
