..and here it is, the Swedish army in all its magnificence!
I really enjoy painting 6mm figures, because you really see how things proceed once you figured out your recipe. And they just look great on the table once they're all based (very important with 6mm!) and got their flags.
The units are based on 6x3cm MDF bases. You can see that those are looking quite thick. Some people really don't like the look, but there's a very good reason why you see 6mm figures often based like that: This is how you can pick them up. Which otherwise gets fiddly with 6mm figures.
Speaking of size, above you can see a photo to which I added an Ork Boy and a Space Marine for size comparison. People who aren't used to that size often react by saying: This must be so hard to paint! It's not. Painting 6mm is easier than painting 28mm figures I think. At an age of instant gratification often chosen over longer processes I find it surprising that 6mm isn't even more popular..
Anyway, there's nothing like seeing a full army done. Well, maybe seeing it on the table, but we'll get to that....
