If you've been following my social media outlets ( @SigurSquirrel on Twitter or Battle Brush Studios on Facebook) you may have noticed a happy face clad in iron which I'm using for my avatar here and there.
Well, this is the bust called La Hire - Battle of Patay 1429 by Young Miniatures and in 1/10th scale. If you have been to any figure painting shows over the past years you probably have seen this bust somethere. It's a delightful, high quality piece of resin.
The chap is very interesting insofar as that he's basically all metal and face. So far I spent quite a lot of hours on this one, and to be honest I don't think he'll ever be finished. I could (and already have done so) play around with the metallics for hours and hours.
So this is one of my relatively rare "WIP" articles. Just because it doesn't feel right calling this one finished. I really like how the face has come out though and it got me hyped for working on more busts and large-scale figures.
