Showcase: Heroquest
To round it all off, here's the whole Heroquest set all finished and set up togeher for a nice group shot.
I just really like those figures. I mean it's hard not to; there's a whole generation of wargamers bascially imprinted on these lumps of plastic. Another nice thing about the set is that there isn't too many of any of the monsters, so it never gets monotonous. The largest number of any figures is the eight Orcs, and when it comes to Orcs .... come on, when it comes to Orcs that's a number we're more than capable to cope with, right? ;-)
Hope you like them!

Showcase: Heroquest Chaos
Here come the Heavies of Heroquest, the Dealers of Damage, the Clenchers of Fists - it's the Chaos Warriors and Fimir. The former of course are classics and very familiar to anybody who ever dipped a toe into the sweet lake of Games Workshop. Fimir are just an incredibly interesting little bit of Warhammer history. Thanks to the Oldhammer people we have several interesting blog posts to read about what they were and what happened to them.
Either way, hope you like them! Stay tuned for more Heroquest figures.

Showcase: Heroquest Furniture
Alright, this one might take a bit of abstraction. Most of you will instnatly recognize the Heroquest furniture. And that they're lacking the cardboard parts. Oh well. All I can say is that in the not-too-distant future I'll post another set of Heroquest, and that that one will also have the cardboard components. Until then - enjoy these!
Collectors will be aware that one of the most important details about a HQ set is the candlesticks on the altar. Those were intact (apart for one of the flames, which got replaced with a bit of green stuff). The tail of the rat on the stretcher bank had gotten lost though, so I sculpted a new tail. It's not too common seeing a HQ rat with its tail in a lying down position!
Hope you like the bits here. Next time we're getting into the really good stuff.

WIP: Big Meks with Shokk Attack Guns
I'm currently working on a bunch more Goff Orks and here we got three Big Meks - some bigger than others -with shokk attack guns. In the left we got the finecast version of the 2009 version of the unit, in the right we got the less good remake in plastic, and in the centre we got a humungously huge one based on the Forgeworld Big Mek. All of them converted, as always.
I really like the face on the big Big Mek. Almost Paul Bonner-ish in style. Is that a Kromlech part?
Anyway, these chaps are mostly done. All they need is a final fixing-up and the basing done properly. Hope you like them and stay safe.
