Showcase: Herdstone!

 

This is a piece I got as a present from a good friend.. It's GW's first official Herdstone model!

Believe it or not, but technically I'm a Beasts of Chaos player. They were my first Warhammer army. More on them at a later point

Anyway, I swiftly built and painted the massive piece of terrain just in time for a game of Sellswords and Spellslingers.

That was back in February of 2020, and our last game for a long time due to pandemic reasons.

A fun multi-player affair, and the Herdstone makes for a really nice centre piece for a gaming table. I'm mainly showing these pictures so you get an idea about the size of the piece and a look at it from a few more angles.

In the end our virtuous heroes won again despite a nasty troll AND a forest hag showeing up unannounced. The former made life really hard for our two elves, but in the end they prevailed against the monster.
