Back to some terrain. Here we got two pieces from a while ago. Both Tabletop World ruins, and thus some of the prettiest ruins in the world.
I got these two resin kits handed to me with the order of maybe making them look different if possible, without of course not smashing them entirely.
So I went at it with pliers and a hammer, and very, very, very carefully went to work. Let's make a game of it - spot the differences!
I decided to make them look a bit more different in theme than in actual shape. So I decided to make the one (guess which one) fallen victim to a big old fireball, hurled by a manic magic user whilst the other's just collapsed by the hands of time.
Painting Tabletop World buildings is always great. They are full of textures and details, so on the one hand you can go nuts with weathering techniques, on the other hand you have to keep those details and work them out so they're not too hard to spot. This makes them more time intensive to paint than most terrain pieces, especially ruins are usually rife with details among those piles of rubble. Much more akin to forgeworld models than the old "just drybrush it", which is the approach that comes to mind first when it comes to terrain (usually correctly so). Tabletop World kits are pricey, but they remain the best building kits I know. Highly recommanded.
Hope you like these here! They aren't very flashy, but who doesn't love a good ruin? ;-)
